| The best solution, for those not wanting to install a rollbar (dunno why tho) Remove wheel well 'shoulder pad' covers; add an internal and external sheet metal doubler that is used to strengthen and increase contact area. the doublers create a uni-body sandwhich. The wheel well material is a T0 to T1 maleable metal. So it's strength is not substantial for crash loading. The doubler (8"+ square and .063-090 thk sht aluminum (2024-T3 alclad)) will over come this weakness. Or, install a roll bar with attached 'harness bar'. For 94+ cars with chassis mounted seat belts, you may be able to rig up a harness bar ala Porsche 911s use. (via the seat belt mounts)
